Final Video Project of 2022

As 2022 came to a close, I was able to wrap up a project I started earlier in the year with Jess Hopkins Photography. I met Jess through her husband years ago, but recently Jess has taken a giant leap to follow her passion and dreams and ventured into being a full-time photographer. As she has started diving deeper into photography, I've been able to assist with some tips and techniques, which has inspired me to continue learning more about my craft.
While talking about gears and goals over coffee, I thought of making a video to add to her about sections or homepage. We quickly found a couple willing to be filmed during their portrait session. After a brief scare with the weather, we ventured up the blue ridge parkway to Crab Tree Falls for the photo shoot. After the shoot, it took us a few rounds of rescheduling to get our schedules lined up for the video interview portion.
Working with Jess was a pleasure, and it was inspiring to see someone so excited about photography and pursuing their passion. It took me back to when I first fell in love with taking photos and producing videos. As this year and the project came to a close, I was reminded how important it is to surround yourself with fellow creatives and people that will push you to be the best you can be at your craft.
